3 Jul 2009 In: Celebrity!

May I take a cold shower.?!?

Damn he’s hot. Oh she’s hot. The gorgeous couple posed for the Armani Fall 2009 Campaign.

I remember watching football on TV when Beckham’s playing for the mere fact that he’s hot!..

Not because I was a fan of football. lol.

Read it at PEOPLE too.

Kevin Jonas’ Engagement Ring

3 Jul 2009 In: Celebrity!

O-M-G! Came out of my mouth when I saw the picture of the ring. It’s gorgeous.. With 210 round pave diamonds and a three-carat cushion diamond ring set in platinum.. Who wouldn’t say O-M-G!  Kevin Jonas (21) of the Jonas Brothers, proposed to his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa (22) last Wednesday. Lucky girl!

But personally, I think they’re too young.. But heck, once you find love, never let go right?

got the picture and read the story at PEOPLE.

Choosing a Great Domain Name

3 Jul 2009 In: Blogging

When I initially started thinking about blogging, my first question was, “What will my domain be..?”  I thought about my name (first and last.com) and then rationalized, I’m not know for anything great. lol. So, I chose the next best thing, what I’ve been using in my IMs, emails, nicknames for characters in games that I play. And that is aBIGwhale. Yes, my initial concern of not being known for anything great, is also a concern for my chosen domain, but its something unique, that rhymes with my name; abigail.

I’ve been reading about blogging, websites, domains and the like, and came across this article How to Choose a Great Domain Name, and it marked these 4 simple criterion:

    • .be easy for Web searchers to find
    • .help market your product or service
    • .serve as a strong trademark, so competitors won’t be able to use it or something similar, and
    • .be free of legal conflicts with other trademarks.

Something easy, does not necessarily mean generic. Because that’s NOT serving the third criteria at all, and that serving a strong trademark. It’s got be “catchy!” Something that will stand out. As much as you can redirect your sites when you want to, stability is good. You’ll be building your own network via the WWW. And habits die hard. If you’re going to pay money to own something. Make sure its something that you can be proud of. Not some “not-so-thought-out” domain name that you’ll care less to broadcast to your friends.. Long are the days that you pay $70 for a single domain, now its a whole lot cheaper with all the domain registrars available and hosting companies that offer a domain for $6 a pop or less.. not including all the other add-on available like for privacy, but that’s for another post.

So what is/are your domain names? And why choose that..?

Baby Mozart

3 Jul 2009 In: Random Thoughts

Remember my post mentioning Quino listening to Baby Mozart when he was still in ate’s womb.. I was blog hopping and came across 6 year old Emily Bear’s YouTube Video. She’s from Chicago. If Quino, grows up to play the piano like this, or any musical instrument for that matter.. Well, hell yeah! Classical music during pregnancy really does work.. lol..

I’ve finally upgraded my wordpress to a higher version.. and yey! I didn’t lose my files.. it was a hard 2-days for me.. I’m not a website designer so when my host company explains stuff to me.. My mind goes  !P@)*(&Y#!

So here’s my firs uploaded video of Quino.. Seeing if my plugin works.. and if the framing and all the features of the plugin works..

since Revver isn’t processing the video.. here’s the vid uploaded via photobucket hehe

Gifts..Gifts..Gifts..

I’ve been meaning to buy Quino stuff.. But since he’s too young, 2 weeks 6 days old.. I’ve got limited options on what to give him.. It’s either milk or diaper, since ate and nino bought him everything he could possibly need.. (this is necessity-wise).. The only thing I bought Quino that’s good for the present, is his pillows.. The jungly gym has yet to be installed when he’s big enough for that..

Another good buy that I would want for Quino is, when he starts eating to have his own little cute plates..? I found some at personalized children’s plates by Lipstick Shades that I would like to purchase. For $24 a pop, it’s not that bad, because you can have it designed the way you like it..

All he does now is sleep.. and on rare occasions that he leaves the house for doctor appointments..he would be needing this soon once there’s a go signal from his pedia that he can now mingle with visitors.. or at least when he leaves the house. A pirate Mint Nap Mats/Rolls.

And for my cousins baby boy who’s turned 5, this ezy roller would be a great gift, because it actually is something “sporty” and not a video game.. ( not that i don’t like video games.. tsk tsk.. its just that physical exercise or activity is really something we should not take for granted.). It would take a couple more years before my little nephew, Quino, can ride one of those!

Broxis 3

28 Jun 2009 In: Random Thoughts

We’ve changed from snail mail to email (going to a paperless environment), from landlines to cel phones (going for mobility connection) .. And we stay connected electronically.. via instant messengers and other social sites, there are a ton of providers out there. I have to admit, I’ve got probably a lot of messengers.. but usually stick to just 2, one for personal, one for work..

This one, Broxis, I found in the internet. With all the privacy laws and scare for important files leaking out in companies.. if you want a controlled communication environment, this one’s for you. They host the server that your messaging network needs. Sounds pretty techie for you? Well you can read about them here at Broxis‘ official website. Since I work from home, we use one common IM. Which I will not mention, but I guess I could point this one to my clients.. Maybe they’d be interested.. And they can even track our work habits even better..

Some of its features are common to other IMs, look:

The ways you can use Brosix to communicate are:

  • Text chat with rich text formatting
  • Text conferences
  • Voice chat
  • Video chat
  • File Transfer
  • Screen-shot
  • Co-Browse
  • Whiteboard
  • Voice Conference
  • Voice Mail
  • Screen Sharing

But what I see new, is Screen Sharing, Co-Browse and Whiteboard.. That’s pretty cool..  Well they just released the Brosix 3 BETA version.. with these added features.. I’ll try to google more on this, and will share it to my “boss".

THIS IS ME!

what interests me.. What I crave for.. Things that I despise.. My everyday life.. This is a sneak peak at the life of a wishful dreamer..
