Bagyong Ondoy
I kept help myself but google, or visit youtube to see Ondoy’s wrath..
Still, many people need help.. and for those who lost not only their houses and other material belongings, lets pray for those who lost loved ones..

This was the night before Ondoy
We just had a little get together.. Haven’t seen the barkada in so long, and B texted us all to meet up.
It started to rain.. when we were going home, it was already raining hard. Little did we know it would result to a sad Saturday.
Still praying for the victims of the typhoon. Just watched Wowowee, Kris A. raised about Php27M I think, if I heard correctly.. And Willie just donated another Php1M, as he helped yesterday and lent his chopper.
I don’t have that much, but I’m rounding up some clothes, I asked my sister do it too. Will go to a drop off point later this afternoon to donate.
Let’s all pitch in. Nearest drop off point in our place is Jollibee in BF Homes. I read all JollibeeS are now drop off points too..
On the lighter side, the food was good as always in Mesa GB5..
(sisig in a pouch)
turon with ice cream
Bagoong Rice
Adobo in its own ink
Tawilis in a spoon..
I wasn’t able to take picture of the other food, nasa kabilang side kasi ng table ang layo..
I got this from facebook. For those who don’t have facebook, I’m reposting.. I hope we can all help and pitch in..

I’ve been car-less these past couple of months. Mom sold the vtec, she said it was time. So here I am, car hunting. For extra income, we decided to buy and sell cars. But the SELLING happened, the buying well was a whole different story. If it was up to mom, she’d be fine without one. But I reminded her that its for extra income. So I began to search for used cars. Searching for something NEW and something OLD, or even for lease can be easily done! I never knew! No need to buy newspapers to check out the buy and sell portion of it. Locally, I found kotsemo.com and I’m to meet a seller later this afternoon with my dad. Hopefully, we can get a good deal as the AD says, “negotiable.”

The news is grim. People on their roofs, people losing their homes, loved ones separated, refugees everywhere, the most recent report is 5,000 people stuck in the Trinoma Mall in Quezon City. I have yet to confirm this but have heard this is the worst deluge since 1967; PAGASA reported that in three hours, as much rain as normally falls in two weeks soaked the Metropolis. Reports from the rest of Luzon -with most of Luzon?s provinces, including the National Capital Region placed under a State of Calamity by the President- are only now trickling in. Rescue and relief efforts over the years have gotten increasingly efficient, but this is one of those events that happen so suddenly, no one can possibly prepare for it.
Fellow bloggers may want to help on collating specific types of information they encounter online: appeals for rescue, traffic/flood updates, places to send relief goods, power failures, etc. This allows relief workers and media to focus on who needs help, while avoiding the risk that the ones who get rescued are those whose appeals are reTweeted most often, while others asking for help get overlooked, for example.
One person online is putting a Marikina map with updates: ViewOndoy map for Marikina in a larger map. Contribute to, and spread the word on,?Rescue Hub Info Central.
You will be a big help by collating information because relief/rescue workers and media can then periodically refer to your blogs to help evaluate what?s going on and what still needs to be done. Numbers are being collated here and in?Sour Politics and?Random Salt.
At a time like this, there is so much human compassion and so much frustration, too. So even if it?s by means of this small, online way, we can all pitch in.

I was reading Rico’s Bahay-Bahayan, hoping to see some yummy food again.. But I was amazed by what I read.. I want to go!!!! Yes that place is here in the PI.
I’ve always wanted to travel.. But never got around to doing it.. Maybe when I have more money.. And lesser responsibilities.. ( Hmm.. lesser responsibilities.. parang mahirap yun hehe )
He says the round trip ticket when he called Zest, for two people is at Php2,700.00.
Now I checked their website, and until October 31, 2009, they have 40% off of their published room only rates.
Wew! When I checked their rates, the cheapest with the 40% off is around Php12,000. Converted it from $ to Php. ?The fare is cheap.. the stay is not ![]()
I guess, I’d have to wait until I can dip into my savings account… ![]()

BOOKWORM TAG - Jenie, thanks for the tag and sorry for the super late post.. ![]()
I was just visiting blogger friends when i came across an interesting tag…and i decided to play along.
Here are the rules of this one:
1. Collect the book that you have most handy.
2. Turn to page 161. ( Darn! First book that i grabbed didn’t have page 161 lol -abby)
3. Find the 5th complete sentence.
4. Cite the sentence on your blog.
5. Pass it on to 5 other blogger
twentysomethingmomma sure is a bookworm as i am!
If she had TWILIGHT close by, I have SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME of Sidney Sheldon. It’s the last one I read…and the 5th line is:
“There wasn’t a mark on the guy”
This book is a detective-mystery-love story in one, and i simply love it. And the Filipino character of “favoring the underdog” was brought out in me as I read this paperback. Every book of Sidney Sheldon’s I’ve read is simply fabulous!
“The appointment made one ineligible as a candidate during the election, and it also required one spend many days prior to the Gregis reviewing the subtleties of the conclave’s arcane rituals to ensure the election was properly administered.” (Angels & Demons - abby)
I am here tagging friends who might enjoy this, tag me along=)
